I hope to share new opportunities and seek new development through influential conferences such as the International Conference on Medicinal Fungi.
Message from Heavy Duty, Entrust Together to Create Brilliance
Professor Solomon P. Wasser, Honorary President of the International Medicinal Fungi Society and Editor in Chief of the International Medicinal Fungi Magazine, believes that the organization of the 5th and 7th International Medicinal Fungi Congresses hosted by Anhui has been outstanding in previous conferences. Therefore, the 10th International Medicinal Fungi Conference has returned to Nantong, China. He introduced the original intention and significance of the International Conference on Medicinal Fungi, hoping to take this opportunity for experts and scholars in the international field of edible and medicinal fungi to discuss with each other and jointly promote the development of the industry.
Academician Deng Xiuxin, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Vice Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, introduced that China is one of the earliest countries to recognize and utilize edible and medicinal mushrooms, and also one of the birthplaces of edible mushroom cultivation civilization. In the long history, it has nurtured a colorful and splendid mushroom culture. With the development of modern science, mushrooms have gradually become a valuable resource for the world to search for new drugs, and will play a more important role in ensuring world food security, promoting human health, and building global ecological civilization.
Li Yu, president of the International Society of Medicinal Fungi and academician of the CAE Member, hopes that the International Congress of Medicinal Fungi will provide a good opportunity for delegates to discuss and exchange achievements in all aspects of medicinal fungi more directly, more closely, more extensively and in depth. Through a series of academic discussions, major players will share the most cutting-edge research achievements in their respective fields on this platform, collide with wisdom, further gather consensus, and jointly address the opportunities and challenges facing the food and medicinal fungi industry.
