Chairman Chen Hui was elected as the Executive Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce

On September 14th, the first session of the second member representative conference of the Chamber of Commerce was held to elect the leadership team of the second council. Chen Hui, Vice President of Jiangsu Provincial Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chairman of Nantong Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Chairman of Anhui Company, has been re elected as Executive Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and has been newly elected as the President of the Overseas Chamber of Commerce of the Chamber of Commerce. Commerce is an excellent representative of Soviet merchants, with the total number of overseas merchants ranking first in Jiangsu. It has made important contributions to the development of Jiangsu's private economy and the acceleration of Nantong's "going global" pace. Since its establishment in May 2017, the General Chamber of Commerce has developed into the largest chamber of commerce organization in Nantong, with the widest coverage area, the most trade connections, the strongest comprehensiveness, and the largest volume. Currently, there are 71 chambers of commerce established in Nantong, including 8 provincial-level chambers of commerce and 27 municipal level chambers of commerce.

Chen Hui delivered a work report on behalf of the first council of the Chamber of Commerce. He stated that in the past five years, the Chamber of Commerce has strengthened political leadership, consolidated development consensus, promoted win-win cooperation, and made positive contributions to the high-quality economic and social development of Nantong. In order to further promote the brand of commerce, consolidate the spirit of commerce, and enhance the influence of commerce, the Chamber of Commerce has held four sessions of commerce conferences, launched the "Zhang Jian Cup" and outstanding commerce recognition and selection activities, which not only consolidates the strength of overseas and domestic commerce, continuously enhances everyone's sense of pride and identity, but also sets an example for the vast commerce industry, allowing everyone to benchmark against the advanced and learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses. He said, "In recent years, under the strong atmosphere of promoting the spirit of commerce and the entrepreneurial spirit of Zhang Jian in Nantong, especially in the field of foreign entrepreneurship, the hometown sentiment has become stronger, the homesickness has become more intense, and the hometown sentiment has deepened. Everyone has worked together and taken the initiative to do well in enterprises while actively fulfilling social responsibilities, injecting a continuous stream of vitality and energy into the economic and social development of Nantong.

As the newly elected president of the Overseas Chamber of Commerce of the General Chamber of Commerce, Chen Hui stated that the Chamber of Commerce will further enhance the cohesion of overseas trade, promote the establishment of a platform and norms for consultation, sharing, and overcoming difficulties, improve the organization and network construction of overseas chambers of commerce, support each other's development, uphold the spirit of "strong and resolute action, reaching the world", establish a more positive and proactive trade image internationally, and tell the story of China and Nantong well to the outside world. At the same time, actively play the role of a bridge and link, serve enterprises well in "going global" and "inviting in", establish the concept of "community of shared future", and allow more overseas trade to participate in the construction of the motherland and hometown.
